The DIA represents all professional designers in Australia and is Australia’s only multi-disciplinary organisation of professional designers, representing all disciplines of design.

Each year The Laminex Group DIA SA Awards attract an outstanding collection of the fruits of South Australia’s energetic design community.

The DIA brings together designers from multiple disciplines and encourages a healthy cross-fertilisation of ideas and interdisciplinary collaboration.

The Awards aim to evaluate, recognise and celebrate outstanding projects designed by South Australian designers. They have the purpose of illustrating and defining today’s design standards and promote the work of members of the Design Institute of Australia and affiliated organisations to the public.

AWARDS CATEGORIES FOR 2011 ARE:

Communication:

Project outcomes impart information or stimulate an interchange of thoughts through disciplines such as Visual Communication, Digital Design and Exhibition Design.

Object:

Project outcomes are some visible & tangible thing through disciplines such as Industrial Design, Furniture Design, Jewellery and Designer Makers.

Built Environment:

Project outcomes feature structures that create a surrounding or a sense of place through disciplines such as Interior Design, Interior Decoration and Exhibition Design.
